When Hiking Turns Into Fishing.

A great day dodging thunderstorms and exploring unused train tracks.
Very glad I always carry a fishing rod and tackle and had the good sense to pick up some bait.

Elmwood Junction Catch

Water Type: freshwater
Type of Fish: Yellow Perch
Fish Length (Avg): 6 inches
Fish Length (Max): 9 inches

Bait Details: Bronze 2-way spinner hook.
Location Details: Didn't seem all that deep, but this little inlet was chock full of Yellow Perch and something FAR larger that I failed to hook well enough to land.

Type of Fish: Calico Bass(Black Crappie)

Bait Details: Neon Orange 2-way spinner hook.
Location Details: After the 4 Crappie and one large Bluegill (which I don't record), I hooked one of the largest Largemouth Bass I have seen in awhile... Sadly he snapped my line less than 2 feet from shore.
I can't even hazard a guess as to size but he snapped 8lbs test with no problem at all... oh, the ones that get away!
