A daily reoccurring event for me while on the water..
I cast out my bait into a sweet spot. Get a gnarly hit and rod doubles over. Fights fish, but notice the weird feeling of the fish fighting( Anyone who catches a buttload of pickerels knows what im talking about) Sees the toothy critter just barrel rolling towards me and drops all tension in the line. Wait 15 secs or so to see if he spits the hook, if not i begin everyone's favorite game" Get your lure outta the back of a pickerels throat with treble hooks without murdering it "
If it wasn't for the picks taking out the large numbers of dink LMB i surly wouldn't mind not seeing them. |
