Comment: I was surprised I didn't get dragged by the big fish.. I was using my new Smoke reel it's the saltwater version cause it holds more line and has a slightly better drag, so I'm thinking it was that that helped me.. here's a distant pic of my new kayak can't really see it behind my hubbys his was 800 mine was only 200 onsale 12' has 2 rod holders and 1 storage bin and a back support seat (which is key)
