got the day off on Tuesday and was itching to get the new boat out. Launched at Congamond around 930 after the rain had passed. began just to putt putt around getting used to the boat etc. fished all over with no luck until the afternoon. changed tactics and first cast yielded a 3lb pickerel, 3 cast later a 2lb bass. cast to the same spot where i got the bass and got 2 more. called it quits after that. great day on the water!

all fish came from 4-7 fow on grass edges

had day one of our TOC at Bartons this past Saturday. Ended up being a rain soaked day with scattered bass. managed 4 larries lost a few good ones that would have given us a big jump in standings. fish were eager to bite on the surface spooks in about 2-3 FOW... until the downpours came.

got out of work and forced my dad out on the boat with me for a couple hours just to unwind from a bad day. he just had surgery on his arm but was a trooper and fished through some pain (his decision not mine). Mass Wildlife just stocked the trout in there and they were popping out everywhere. he started to target the trout while I threw the big baits looking for a chunk bass. he had one hit on the Thomas Buoyant spoon but nothing else. I got two small larries on the Slammer up to 2lbs. nothing special but a good night out. on the water at 6pm off the water at 8pm. trout are definitely there though!
