Since I live near by and I didn't want to get to a pond and get dumped on by rain I decided to swing by Pond Meadow Park in Braintree and do some fishing. It's not a bad place. There's a little dock to fish off of, the waters clear but there's a lot of the milfoil in it.

First cast of the day and I hooked one. No greater feeling than catching one on the first cast. He got a little tangled in the milfoil but I manages to pull him out of it. A nice largemouth bass to start the day. He was a nice size too. I got him on a 7" Power worm. The second one I caught was while I was reeling in the worm. It was just skimming along the top of the water and the bass came up to grab it. I wasn't expecting anything to hit while I was reeling in the line but I'll take it. I ended up catching 3 largemouth in a little over an hour. They were all over 12 inches. Not bad considering I didn't know what the pond had to offer.

Spent the weekend at the lake house in Pennsylvania and decided to do some fishing. It had been a while since I last fished but I wanted to get back into it. I was using borrowed gear and on the first day I caught a small yellow perch and a couple of crappies. Nothing special but it got me interested in fishing again. On the second day I was fishing for an hour or so and getting nothing. When everyone decided to go up to the house for lunch I decided I would hang at the lake and relax. After relaxing I decided I would fish a little bit more. I placed my first cast over near some rocks along the shore and something grabbed it. I didn't know what it was but I could tell it was something big. It put up quite a fight and stayed low in the water so I couldn't see what it was. It took about 8 minutes of battling with it but I finally got him to come up to the surface and I could see what it was. It was a channel catfish about 2 feet long. It put up one hell of a fight but I finally got him up. He weighed about 10 pounds and I gotta say that catching him brought me back into fishing. "I was hooked"

I have been trying to find some places to go and Houghton's Pond is near by me. It's a nice little pond, a little weedy, but it has a bunch of little fishing holes around the pond where you can have your privacy. It gets a little loud across the pond with everyone swimming but after 6 PM it gets quiet and it's very relaxing. I took my fiance fishing with me and we got there around 1:30 and found a nice spot opposite of the beach. For about the first hour and a half we were getting nothing but then we switched it up to the Berkley 7 inch Power Worms and started getting bites. In about 45 minutes I landed 2 large mouth bass and my lady landed one(her first fish). It's a good pond, a little touch and go with what you catch.

First time on this lake and I just picked up a new rod that day. I swung by Bass Pro Shops and picked up the Pflueger Trion GX rod and reel combo. Meet up with my friend at his house on the lake and we headed out on the water a little before noon. A few casts into the trip and my friend caught a yellow perch with a spinner. I was using a jig with a worm attached. With that I managed to catch 3 LMB in about 2 hours. They were average size, nothing to write home about, but fish none the less. I also has a big one on the line and reeled him into the boat and when I went to grab his mouth he managed off the hook and took the work that they were all biting on. It was a good day. My friend manages to catch a bit of everything. A few LMB, a yellow perch, a crappie, and a pickerel
