Cold Water Pickerel

Fished Norris Reservation in Norwell for about an hour and a half with an olive shad Rapala X-Rap. Was out for bass but ended up catching a pickerel, decent size, in some sunken brush.

Comments

  • It does look fishy. Never fished it before tho!

  • Ever fished the stream in between the two ponds? Thats always looked very fishy to me, especially with the high water from the snow melt recently and the fact that there are stocked trout, I would think at least some would have gravitated towards that stream.

  • I fished there a few times. They stock it in the spring with trout.
The 2nd pond has better bass and pickerel.
I lost a decent bass last spring there.
It's very shallow. I don't fish it often

Walk the path to the marsh for some great early seasons stripers
