Chazy Lake Description

Perched high in the northeastern corner of the Adirondacks in the shadow of Lyon, Johnson, and Ellenburg Mountains, the 1,606-acre Chazy Lake averages 33 feet deep, drops to a maximum depth of 72 feet, and has water so squeaky clean you can drink it straight. It is the perfect place to seek rest and relaxation,as well as boating, kayaking, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling. There is a boat launch in Clinton County. Off Highway 374, 5 miles west of the Village of Dannemora. Hard Surface Ramp. Parking for 20 cars and trailers and 10 cars without trailers. Situated ideally about an hour from Montreal or Lake Placid, the region offers year round activities.
