Beal Pond is located southeast of the Saddleback Mountain Range. The pond has no inlets, but a small outlet flows south into Orbeton Stream. The pond’s shoreline is partially developed.
Water quality in Beal Pond is good for coldwater gamefish. The pond lacks suitable spawning habitat, so annual stockings of brook trout are necessary to maintain a fishery. Growth is good with little competition for food and space.
Beal Pond is accessible via a series of roads north of Route 4 between Phillips and Madrid. The pond is open to fly fishing only in the summer months and closed to ice fishing. See the lawbook for special regulations.
