5/23/11 - Dudley Pond - Wayland, MA
I put in some more time at Dudley after work. Weather was stable for the most part, mist and drizzle here and there, slight gusts of wind off and on. I started at Mansion Beach, set my gear down, and get my senko ready. As Im walking up to the shoreline, I see a long, but awkard looking bass about 8-10 feet out just hanging. So pitch over in front of it, the Bass sucks it in, set the hook, and bring it in. I stunned on how underweight this bass was! A 19-1/2in Bass should be somewhere around 4lbs, this one weighed 2lb 1oz. I quickly take a picture, and release it, hoping it goes on a major feeding binge soon! I didnt get anymore action at this spot. Tried a spot around the shoreline to the left with no luck. Moved to a spot I havent tried in 2 years anyways. I got one More 1lb Bass, and a one feisty 8" Bluegill took my senko for a ride, lol
